On April 16 and 17, Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting (ABRC) concluded the Emerging Managers Emerging Leaders (ELEM) program for our 2019 Minnesota participants. We would like to congratulate the participants for completing the program and for being great contributors. The MN ELEM participants for 2019 were: Lisa Askew, Miranda Childers, Audrea Goepfert, Alex Hass, Brian Plautz, Nancy Simon, Cassandra Smith, Hannah Woolsey, and Anne Yund.
The ELEM program is one of several opportunities for professional development available to our colleagues who actively demonstrate leadership characteristics in their interactions. The program is intended to further develop current skills and abilities in these areas by introducing participants to the leadership "tent poles" concept, promoting self-awareness and exploring ways in which the concepts can be applied in current roles in addition to future roles within our organization.
For the selection process, each manager was given the opportunity to nominate one or more of their direct reports. It is a great honor to be nominated for the program and we received an incredible response. Colleagues were selected based on tenure, demonstrated leadership skills, and the goal of having attendees represent a cross-section of emerging leaders across business lines within each region of the organization. The program is intended to give participants the opportunity to expand their leadership skills.
To support development of Personal Capability, each participant learned about their signature strengths and explored ways in which to maximize them within their unique roles and throughout our organization.
