Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting - Business Insurance

We had been looking forward to presenting Alex Sheen at this year’s Leaders Forum. Given the evolving concerns around COVID-19 (coronavirus), for the health and safety of our guests and colleagues, Associated Benefits and Risk Consulting has decided to cancel the Leaders Forum event in all 3 markets – Minnesota, Green Bay and Milwaukee.

What promises do you intend to keep in 2020?

What can your organization achieve simply by keeping your word? Making promises is the easiest thing in the world but keeping them is the most important, and often most difficult part. Using his story of personal loss and the social movement that grew from it, Alex Sheen will share at our 2020 Leaders Forum the importance of keeping promises to yourself and to others, and a simple method to help hold you to your word.

ABOUT ALEX SHEEN

When his father died of small cell lung cancer in 2012, Alex honored his dad as a man of his word with a eulogy titled because I said I would. This was the birth of the “promise card” which sparked a social movement and later inspired Alex to resign from his corporate position in order to advance the mission of because I said I would.

Sheen now works to better humanity through the importance of a promise, including sending 3.15 million promise cards to 153 countries around the world and fulfilling charitable promises, such as helping kids with cancer get tickets to Disneyland and walking 245 miles across the state of Ohio in 10 days to raise awareness for the victims of sexual violence. A 4-time TEDx Talk speaker, Sheen gives speeches and has written a book, because I said I would, in order to fund the work of this non-profit organization.
